Although Covid 19 is not entirely behind us, we are expecting live congresses to convene during Q3, mostly in Europe.

France, Italy and Russia, are planning face-to-face meetings, with an emphasis on a limited number of participants, who are vaccinated and wearing masks.

Why are we so excited to go back to these congresses?

Covid 19 has demonstrated to us that we can work efficiently even under travel restrictions and according to social distance protocols. We succeeded in working remotely in meetings and webinars for congresses. We had impressive tools that proved to us that traveling was not a necessity.

Is this really the case?

From my personal point of view, face-to-face meetings are essential.

Although technology has provided us with creative solutions, I have missed the feeling you get when you meet a potential partner for the first time, shake his/her hand and look into his or her eyes to see if there is a connection.

During the past year, I signed agreements with four new markets, with four new CEO’s and owners, who never met me in person and never visited Hanita Lenses facilities.

A great deal of trust is required to sign a distribution agreement, when all you know is what you can learn from the online information.
